This remastered version of the final boss music from Sonic 3 is full of so much win!!!
Holy hell listening to this has just upped my energy levels by about 1000%

After installing the graphics tablet I got for Christmas and realising that decent drawing skills with a pencil does not automatically translate to decent drawing skills with a stylus.
(PS Sonic The Hedgehog is my go-to drawing when I can’t think of anything else to draw)
It’s been over a month since this album was released and I’m still regularly listening to the whole thing all the way through at least once a day. It’s easily my favourite album of theirs and just solid all the way through (with the exception of maybe the last track “Everyday Love” which I think is pretty average).
Highlights for me are “Flyers” (which could be the main driving force behind most of my workouts in 2014) and “Karma Butterfly” which took a few listens through to truly appreciate the awesomeness of (helps if you have the volume and bass levels nice and high).
Yeah it’s very “pop” but I don’t think that alone should disqualify it from being a hugely enjoyable listen. If people are willing to let go of their assumptions that ‘happy, colourful, girl-group music=bad’ they might just end up really liking this.
So it’s been just over a year since my all time low point and it’s been a very lightly sloping walk back up. I’m nowhere near my phenomenal highs of Disney but I’m a long way off rock bottom as well.
The last few weeks have been the most interesting in that, while not a whole lot of stuff has “actually happened” i’ve suddenly discovered that things in my head are now starting to make sense. Like my brain has been trying to solve equations all year about who I actually am, and some answers are now slowly materialising.
It’s quite exciting at the moment and It feels like each day I’m learning to be more and more content with myself as a person. I still got a long way to go, lots of equations to solve and 1s to carry over though.
But I want you all to be more active on my journey. So expect more updates, more phone calls, more texts, more random tumblr posts and maybe even some surprise middle of the night visits (or something far more sensible if you prefer).
